AGSSEA-TC212 (ISSMGE) Touring Lecture 2019: Short Course on Pile Foundations – Experimental Investigations, Analysis, and Design of Pile Foundations

The touring lecture for deep foundations offered by Prof. Alessandro Mandolini with the Università degli Studi della Campania was successfully held on 24th July 2019 in Taipei, on 26th July 2019 in Bangkok, and on 31st July 2019 in Kuala Lumpur. Prof. Mandolini is the Chairman of TC212 Deep Foundation. The touring lecture was co-organized by AGSSEA, SEAGS, ISSMGE, CTGS, TGS, and IEM with the support from local professors. Other local experts were also invited to give a talk at the lecture.

Prof. Alessandro Mandolini lives up to his reputation as a great teacher of pile foundation. We would like to thank the organizing committee members namely, Dr. Chung-Tien Chin and Prof. Jie-Ru Chen (main committee); Prof. Der-wen Chang and Dr. Chwen-Huan Wang (for the Taipei lecture); Dr. Suttisak Soralump, Dr. Geoff Chao and Dr. Apiniti Jotisankasa (for the Bangkok lecture); and Dr. Teik Aun Ooi and Mrs. Nurul Aida (for the Kuala Lumpur lecture).
