A rather birds-eye-view of the recollection of the AIT-SEAGS Functions. The most memorable one was when HRS Princess Sirindhorn opened the 9th SEAGC in Bangkok at the then Imperial Hotel.
Dr. Chai Muktabhand passed away a little before this Function. Dr. Chai has been associated with AIT and SEAGS from the very beginning of AIT at Chula Campus. Dr. Moh is also in this picture. So is Prof. Aroon Sorathesen.
Dr. Chai also lectured at AIT and at that time with early faculty Drs. Moh, Brand and Nelson.
Dr. Chai participated in most Conferences held by SEAGS-AIT. One of the memorable events is the Large Dam Conference held in 1980.
Prof. Prinya Nutalaya was the early full time Thai Faculty at AIT. He had a distinguished career and was the Architect behind the famous Bangkok Subsidence Project. Some of the other AIT Faculty who had an influence on the Alumni are Dr. Peter Brenner, Profs. Akagi & Ohta and Yudhbir.
Some of the other Chula Faculty engaged in AIT-SEAGS activities are Prof. Vichien, Dr. Surachat and Dr. Wanchai
Two other prominent AIT Lab personalities are Messrs Ruangvit and Sataporn.
We also had Drs. Visharn and Warakorn from Kasetsart helping us a lot.
There were many projects in EGAT and Khun Lek Kanchanaphol was always most helpful
It is impossible to cover all our AIT Alumni, my album contains
Dr. Premchit. Famous Dennes, Dr. Yongyuth and many others
Many many conferences were held, the historic ones are the First, 5th and the 9th SEAGC
Dr. Sirilak Chandrangsu has been associated with AIT for a very long period, similar to Dr. Chai and so was Khun Nibondh from the Highways Department. The note here is very sketchy and is probably a very random pick of events and personalities.
