CALL FOR PAPERS
All concerned wishing to present paper(s) on sub-themes/allied sub-themes of the Conference are requested to send the synopsis(es) of their proposed paper(s) in about 800-850 words, typed in double space, on A4 size (210 mm x 297 mm) paper, in English to the Conference Secretariat.
Only original contributions that have not been published, or presented at other events, need be submitted. Synopsis should contain:
• A descriptive but brief title
• Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s)
• Address for correspondence (including FAX No. and e-mail address)
• Detailed information about the contents and conclusions of the paper. The purpose of requesting a comprehensive synopses is to enable the reviewers to make a correct appraisal of the suitability of the paper for the Conference.

WORKSHOPS/SHORT COURSES
GS Training Courses and Workshops on the relevant issues of interest on the days of the meetings of IGS Council, IGS Committees Meetings, preceding the conference.
KEYNOTE AND THEME LECTURES
Internationally renowned experts will be invited to deliver keynote and theme lectures.
EXHIBITION
It is proposed to organise an Exhibition, concurrent to the Technical Sessions. Corporate Members of IGS will be given preference and allowed discount of 25% on the normal tariff.
TECHNICAL VISITS
To major Geosynthetics/Geotechnical Projects
PROGRAMME FOR ACCOMPANYING PERSONS
Interesting programmes will be arranged for the accompanying persons during the period of the conference. These will include visits to places of touristic interest – Historical Mounuments, Museums and Art Galleries – and a go-round for shopping.
INDIA-THE LAND OF OPPORTUNITIES
India is a fast developing economy requiring large scale infrastructures. Liberalization of economy has further facilitated planning and execution of many large scale infrastructure, including roads, railways, power and water resources, which will further promote applications of Geosynthetics for infrastructural works. Spending in XII Plan (2012-17) in infrastructure is estimated to be USD 01 Trillion, which is excepted to grow for infrastructure activities for the XIII Plan (2017-2022).
6th Asian Regional Conference would be a step towards providing opportunity for exchange of experiences, practices and collaborations to facilitate flow of appropriate technology to enable successful implementation of infrastructure projects.
New Delhi, the host city, blends within its folds the great cultural variety of India; an everlasting range of activity, a million ways of saying “You are Welcome”. Only 200 km from Delhi and a must to visit before or after the Conference, is Agra, world-famous for splendid Taj Mahal. Also no far away from Delhi and worth a visit is, Jaipur, popularly known as the Pink City, the Capital of the state of Rajasthan. With its rich and colourful past, resplendent with tales of valour and bravery, Jaipur is now one of the most important heritage cities in India.
