DESIGN AND UCTION CONFERENCE 2015
11 – 12 September, 2015 – Hong Kong
The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (Hong Kong Branch) is currently organizing a two-day conference on 11th and 12th September, 2015. The conference will present Hong Kong, Asian and global experiences in underground design and construction, as well as discussing some of the forthcoming challenges and the latest underground design and construction developments.
Authors wishing to submit papers are invited to submit an abstract of between 250 and 400 words, before 31st October 2014, to LAWTHLEE@mtr.com.hk
Successful authors will be notified of abstract acceptance by 30th November 2014 and invited to submit full papers by no later than 28th February 2015, with selected authors invited to present their papers at the conference.
Topics should be in keeping with the conference theme covering, but not limited to the following topics:

• Pipe Jacking
• Immersed Tube
• Ground Treatment
• Planning and Design
• Tunnel Boring Machines
• Ground Support Systems
• Drill and Blast Excavation
• Underground Construction
• Ground Investigation and Instrumentation
