News from-ATC6: Urban GeoEngineering (UGE ATC) – Chair: Professor Chang Yu Ou
Professor Chang Yu Ou is the Chairman of the Asian Technical Committee ATC6 on Urban GeoEngineering. There are about 30 members from 11 Asian countries. Soon the membership is expected to exceed 40 in 14 countries. ATC 6 will focus on the issues on metro geotechnics, urban renovation geotechnics and deep excavation.
In the 15ARC, ATC6 will have a 90-minute special session. Up to now, 12 abstracts have been submitted and forwarded to the Organizing Committee of the ARC. Future activities include bilateral symposium between countries in Asia, establish forum on the topics/issues, collect good case histories and construct related data base, mini-symposium in the ARC conference and International symposia, such as deep excavation, metro geotechnics, urban renovation geotechnics.
